Hi I'm Brannon Burkes I'm the sports turf manager here at UTSA’s Soccer Facility, Park West Athletic Complex. With this being a Collegiate facility, trying to maintain a Collegiate standard, we fertilize more often and we're doing more mowing. We mow anywhere from 4 to 6 days a week to help keep that surface clean, level, and free of thatch or any kind of build up like that. We just come in here and tear it up. The idea is that the more you beat up bermuda grass, the better it performs and we really take that to heart here. It's mid-july right now. Soccer season starts August 1st and this field will be in great shape by then.
