Globe life stadium hosted a Christmas light show in 2018. Due to rutting caused by heavy foot traffic and light scaffolding for the event, the outfield needed a full renovation. The renovation consisted of frazing out the existing grass, importing select root zone material, laser grading the field, and then laying big roll Tif-Tuf Bermuda sod, to re-create The Rangers perfect playing surface.
