Hi I’m Jaxon Bailey we’re here at Baylor University and we’re here at Baylor ballpark. How do we prepare the mound? After the mound gets used whether that be at practice or a game, we’ll come and groom off all the conditioner and then we’ll get the top layer of the dirt wet, put our clay back in there at the right slope and then we’ll stamp it in. Once you get it flat you can put your conditioner back on top and it’s ready to go. We use the yellow diamond Pro clay. It has a pretty high clay content so we can pack it down in there tight.
